2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner

San Diego Cash For Cars was very pleased when picking up the 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner for sale. It was apparent that the customer selling their X-Runner took excellent care of this ‘street’ oriented vehicle. Although this car needed absolutely nothing to drive, we decided to replace the current clutch with a new one to restore tight and responsive shifting. From this, we knew we had a great truck by going to respected resources online.

According to market research company, J.D. Power and Associates, the 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner was surveyed for reported problems by owners within the first 90 days through its Power Circle Ratingd. While the powertrain quality only received a 2 out of 5 stars, the 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner received 5 out of 5 for grades for:

  • Overall Initial Quality
  • Body & Interior
  • Mechanical Features and Accessories
  • Design Features and Accessories

In a couple excerpts of online testimonial reviews from car review websites, Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book, owners of the 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner write:
“I have NEVER had a problem with this vehicle – NEVER – it is almost 10 years old and gets a lot of use. I have over 100K work miles and it’s dependable enough to get the job done and get me home safe!!! I highly recommend this vehicle and will definitely be purchasing another one in the future. Toyota builds quality vehicles that last and is dependable.”

“This truck has been very loyal to me, I’ve gotten my money’s worth over the years I’ve owned it. Maintenance is minimal, just tire rotation, balance, oil changes. Brake pad changes. Once transmission, radiator, and brake lines flushed. Never had any issues with starting. It’s a truck, so it rides like a truck. If you like a car ride, get a car, right?”

As always, we of course ran a CarFax. There was no accident or damage reported among the three drivers that previously owned the 2007 Toyota Tacoma X-Runner. The pickup was only registered within California and was only driven approximately 10,000 miles each year. In our own personal observation of the X-Runner, this car remains very sporty despite being built in 2007. While lacking current features like Bluetooth, navigation and or heated seating, this truck more than makes up for it in its ride ability and looks. This car is a blast to drive (as shown in our quick road test video below):

We found it to be smooth, responsive and powerful. The X-Runner was built with a 4.0L V6 6-speed manual transmission and a 6+ foot bed. It has a fuel economy of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 26 on freeway.

As a long time Cash For Cars in San Diego operator, we knew that most Toyotas have a high reselling value based on their solid history for making excellent automobiles. San Diego Cash For Cars had no problem providing a fair offer to the customer wanting to sell their car.
